Well there isn't much these cooks won't throw on a smoker so you will get an opportunity to taste finger lickin' lip smacking favorites like Chicken, Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Tri-Tip as well as some non traditional items like Smoked Macaroni & Cheese, Moink Balls, Pig-Candy, Smoked Cobblers and more!
New to this years event, Beer Tasting! A perfect pairing with BBQ! Local breweries will be at the event along side the BBQ vendors sampling up their best craft brews.

We didn't forget about the kids either. We have one of the biggest and best Kid Zone's out there. For the cost of admission, kids have an all-day all-access pass into the Kid Zone. Past Kid Zone activities included bounce houses, giant slides, arts & crafts, cupcake decorating, giant human bowling, kids DJ & dance floor, petting zoo featuring costumed animals, and more!
Butterfly Release - Each year, the OC BBQ Festival hosts a live Butterfly Release at high noon.
According to Indian legend: If anyone desires a wish to come true they must first
capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it. As a butterfly can make no sound, the butterfly can not reveal the wish to anyone but the Great Spirit who hears and sees all. In gratitude for giving the beautiful butterfly freedom, the Great Spirit will always grant the wish. So, according to legend, by making a wish and giving the butterfly its freedom, the wish will be taken to the heavens to be granted.
There are many reasons to release a butterfly. An Anniversary, a special occasion, a wish for happiness and health, or a celebration of a loved one's life.
The public can participate in the butterfly release in several ways; you may purchase your own butterfly ($10) to release at the event (event admission is seperate). You may also purchase a butterfly or additional butterflies as a donation where upon one of the children of Kristie's Foundation will release your donated butterfly. The butterflies released by the children and families of Kristie's Foundation are done so in memory of the children we have lost and to honor those currently battling their illnesses. Limited supplies, please purchase your butterflies in advance of the event.
